Description

Overview
TECHSPEC® Laser Grade Plano‑Convex (PCX) lenses are engineered for high‑energy Nd:YAG laser systems used in cutting, machining and welding. The precision fused silica substrate (Corning 7980), with λ/10 transmitted wavefront accuracy and 10‑5 surface quality, minimizes scatter and preserves beam quality. Lenses are available uncoated or with high laser‑damage‑threshold (LDT) anti‑reflection (AR) coatings optimized for common Nd:YAG wavelengths to maximize transmission.

Key features
  • Designed for high‑energy Nd:YAG laser applications (cutting, machining, welding)
  • Precision fused silica substrate for low scatter and excellent transmitted wavefront
  • Surface accuracy: λ/10 (transmitted wavefront)
  • Surface quality: 10‑5
  • Offered uncoated or with high‑LDT AR coatings at common Nd:YAG wavelengths

Product family highlights
  • Guaranteed laser damage threshold for specified coatings
  • Multiple diameters and effective focal lengths available
  • Manufactured to tight tolerances for repeatable beam delivery
