Butterfly valves are a versatile type of valve used for on-off and flow adjustment. Butterfly valve is an economical type of valve that takes up little space in the pipeline, provides excellent sealing properties in both directions, can be easily and economically adapted to automation, and operates with low pressure losses. These features have made the butterfly valve a preferred product in many systems since the 1960s when it was first designed.
Butterfly valves, which are used in many areas, have two connection types in our stocks: wafer and lug.
Butterfly Valve Types
We have 2 types of butterfly valves in our stocks: Wafer and Lug types. The most important feature that distinguishes these two types of butterfly valves is the way the valves are connected to the lines. Since each flange in Lug type butterfly valves has its own bolts, it is possible to clean, inspect and repair the valve without completely shutting down the system. On the other hand, wafer type butterfly valves are connected to the flange with the help of studs. In this case, it is not possible to clean, inspect and repair the wafer type valves without completely shutting down the system.
