Description

The PL2210 series are diode-pumped, air-cooled, mode-locked Nd:YAG lasers that deliver picosecond pulses at kilohertz repetition rates. These lasers are designed for high pulse energy at kHz rates and feature a solid-state, diode-pumped design with air cooling (no external water supply required for PL2210A and PL2210B). They offer turn-key operation, low maintenance costs, and optional streak camera triggering pulse with <10 ps rms jitter. Control is flexible, with both remote control pad and PC interfaces available, and optional temperature-stabilized second, third, and fourth harmonic generators.

Features
  • High pulse energy at kHz rates
  • Diode pumped solid state design
  • Air cooled – external water supply is not required (for PL2210A, PL2210B only)
  • Turn-key operation
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Optional streak camera triggering pulse with <10 ps rms jitter
  • Remote control pad
  • PC control
  • Optional temperature stabilized second, third and fourth harmonic generators

Applications
  • Time resolved fluorescence (including streak camera measurements), pump-probe spectroscopy
  • OPG/OPA/OPO pumping
  • Remote Laser Sensing
  • Other spectroscopic and nonlinear optics applications

Description
Short pulse duration, excellent pulse-to-pulse stability, and superior beam quality make the PL2210 series well suited for material processing, time-resolved spectroscopy, optical parametric generator pumping, and other advanced tasks. The flexible design allows for optional items such as a pulse picker for controlling the repetition rate and enabling single-shot mode. The repetition rate and timing of pulses can be locked to an external RF source or another ultrafast laser system. The laser provides a triggering pulse for equipment synchronization, with a low jitter SYNC OUT pulse adjustable from a PC. The PRETRIG feature offers up to 400 μs lead of triggering pulse for precise, low jitter streak camera triggers.

Motorized wavelength switching is available for PL2210A and PL2210B, with non-linear crystals in temperature-stabilized heaters for high spectral purity harmonic generation. The laser can be operated via USB (VCP, ASCII commands), RS232 (ASCII commands), LAN (REST API), WLAN (REST API), or a remote control pad with a backlit display.
