Différent from the concept of traditional power frequency torque motor, direct drive torque motor refers to a synchronous motor with a torque ranging from hundreds to thousands to tens of thousands of nm, which can output power at a low speed of tens to hundreds of révolutions. At present, the général form is a three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor with feedback components,
which is used with servo drivers. This kind of motor is usually directly connected with the load, which eliminates the transmission devices such as réduction gears, and can realize high rigid and efficient connection without wear and back clearance. Direct drive torque motor has the functions of low speed, high torque, continuous adjustable speed, speed, torque, position control, etc. The selection is based on the rated torque and maximum torque of the motor, without considering the power.
