Description

Overview
The Heavy Duty Line Vac™ is EXAIR's largest-capacity Line Vac designed for conveying abrasive or heavy materials and for transfer over extended vertical and horizontal distances. It resembles the standard Line Vac but uses a hardened alloy construction to reduce wear compared with aluminum or standard stainless steel. Available in hose I.D. sizes from 3/4″ (19 mm) through 3″ (76 mm).

Applications
  • Hopper loading
  • Fiber tensioning
  • Material conveying
  • Waste and trim removal
  • Chip removal
  • Part transfer
  • Filling operations

Advantages
  • Hardened alloy construction for improved wear resistance
  • High throughput capacity
  • Compact footprint
  • Low noise
  • No moving parts
  • Compatible with standard hose, tube and pipe
  • Available from stock

Models
Heavy Duty Line Vacs are offered individually and in NPT-threaded kits. Kits include a Heavy Duty Line Vac, filter separator and pressure regulator with coupler. Seven sizes up to 3″ (76 mm) are available; threaded and flanged variants are also offered.

Accessories
  • Clear PVC Hose: EXAIR stocks 3/8″ (10 mm), 1/2″ (13 mm), 3/4″ (19 mm), 1″ (25 mm), 1-1/4″ (32 mm), 1-1/2″ (38 mm), 2″ (51 mm), 2-1/2″ (64 mm) and 3″ (76 mm) I.D. PVC hose in lengths up to 50′ (15.2 m). Flexible hose with smooth bore to reduce material buildup. Temperature rating: -4 to 150°F (-20 to 66°C).
  • Mounting Brackets: available for Line Vacs from 3/8″ (10 mm) through 5″ (127 mm).
  • Drum Covers: fine mesh non-woven drum cover for 55 or 30 gallon drums; suitable for Line Vac conveyance hoses from 3/4″ through 3.4″ outside diameters; includes hose clamps and spring buckle strap.

How it works
Compressed air enters an annular plenum and is injected into the throat through directed nozzles. The resulting air jets create a vacuum at the intake, drawing material into the unit and accelerating it through the outlet for conveying over long vertical or horizontal distances.
