Manual marker with thermal transfer for marking labels and cartons. MANUAL MARKER FPTR8 - Recommended for testing, sampling and very low production only The FPTR8 markers are lever-operated, thermal transfer (foil) markers. They are suitable for marking tags, cases and labels. On the marker there is a character holder on which the letters and numbers have to be entered manually to make up the print lines. Once you have completed the 'wording' you want to mark, you have to mount the character carrier on the marker, switch it on, set the temperature and wait about 15 minutes for the head to warm up. After the 15 minutes have elapsed, place the product under the head and make the marking manually, acting on the lever as if it were a stamp. Thanks to this movement, the head with the characters transfers the ink from the ink ribbon to the product, creating an indelible and slightly engraved marking. This model is only suitable for small productions because it is very difficult to make a large number of legible and well-made marks. Possible problems can be avoided if the operator is skilled enough in the use of the marker and has set the FPTR8 marker well. Problems can be: - foil breakage: if the temperature is too high, if you press too hard or too long - poorly visible marks: temperature too low, you press the lever too little or for too short a time - staining marks: temperature too high, the lever is pressed too hard or for too long - plastic bag to be marked gets pierced or welded: too high temperature, too much pressure on the lever or for too long a time For medium to high production we recommend the FPTR 280 model because it is operated by an electric foot pedal. In the FPTR 280 model the head always descends vertically with the same (adjustable) pressure and is timed. With the FPTR 280 marker you get better-looking and cleaner marks, no risk of puncturing the foil or making illegible marks.
