Overview
The Auto Hatch Opener automates opening and closing of platform hatches as climbing systems pass, enabling hands-free hatch control for personnel access on industrial platforms and wind turbine nacelles.

Product Details — Components & Operation

• Guide board: wheel guide fixed to platform hatches to ensure correct travel path.
• Connecting rod: transmits motion from drive unit to open and close hatches via the guiding device.
• Platform hatches: mounted on the platform skirting edge with hinges to prevent falls of personnel and objects; can use existing onsite hatch or be fabricated per site conditions.
• Button on platform (manual option): top-mounted button for manual open/close during personnel access.
• Button under platform (manual option): bottom-mounted button for manual open/close during personnel access.
• Drive unit: mounted on hinge side of the hatch; main power source for the Auto Hatch Opener.
• Upper sensor: installed at platform top for use with Climb Auto System; triggers automatic open/close when CAS is detected.
• Lower sensor: installed under the platform for CAS-triggered operation.

Installation & Compatibility
Plug-and-play installation without structural retrofit or changes to line protection device specifications. Single-cable connection and eight bolts enable a typical single-person installation in ~45 minutes. Compatible with manual climbing, Climb Assist, Climb Auto System and similar access scenarios.

Additional Notes
Unit features temperature resistance and anti-corrosion treatment for extended service in diverse environmental conditions.
