The Fluke 9500C Oscilloscope Calibration Workstation addresses these constraints by providing a fully automated, multichannel solution that reduces handling uncertainty and increases throughput.

Active Head Technology™ and automation
The 9540C Active Head modules generate calibration signals directly at the instrument input, removing the need for external switch matrices and extensive cabling. This approach lowers measurement uncertainty, improves repeatability and enables hands‑free calibration sequences for complex multi‑channel oscilloscopes.

Key signal capabilities
  • Leveled sine waves up to 4 GHz for accurate bandwidth calibration.
  • Pulse and square outputs with rise/fall edges down to 70 ps / 150 ps / 500 ps (mode-dependent).
  • Amplitude range from microvolts to hundreds of volts (examples: 4.44 mV to 5.56 Vp‑p in 50 Ω; high‑level edges to ~210 Vp‑p).
  • Dual sine outputs for trigger sensitivity checks and functions that normally require external splitters.
  • Automatic input impedance check and safe switching to 50 Ω before applying high voltages.
  • Auxiliary functions: DC/current outputs for probe calibration, composite video, linear ramps, resistance/capacitance measurement and AUX IN.


Software, integration and deliverables
The unit supports IEEE‑488.2 (GPIB), USB and Ethernet and integrates with MET/CAL® Plus for full automation, procedure programming and report generation. Standard delivery items include a 7" touchscreen interface, transport case and optional traceable calibration certificate (ISO 17025) depending on model and configuration.
