Absolute and relative current measurement
Used with Fluke A40B series shunts, the 5790B performs direct absolute or relative AC current measurements without manual calculations. Shunt data (serial number, calibration constants, dates) can be stored and selected from the instrument memory for rapid setup and repeatable measurements.

Wideband and RF options
The instrument supports legacy /3 wideband (10 Hz–30 MHz) and the /5 option (10 Hz–50 MHz) for RF reference output calibration.
