Description

Product overview
The Fluke 5725A is a voltage and current amplifier that extends AC voltage, AC current and DC current outputs of Fluke 5700A and 5720A multifunction calibrators. Voltage outputs remain accessible at the 5700A front or rear binding posts while the 5725A provides extended-range current outputs on its front or rear binding posts, reducing cable changes during calibration procedures.

Key features
  • Extends AC voltage output capability up to 1100 V and frequency capability to 100 kHz (dependent on voltage, load and conditions).
  • AC voltage load-driving capability: up to 70 mA for frequencies >5 kHz and up to 50 mA for frequencies <5 kHz.
  • Supports capacitive loads up to 1000 pF for calibration of high-impedance devices.
  • DC current range to ±11 A and AC current 1–11 A rms (40 Hz–10 kHz).
  • Integrates with Fluke 5700A/5720A Series via a dedicated interface cable for streamlined operation.

Operating functions and ranges
  • AC voltage: 220–1100 V rms; up to 70 mA (50 mA for frequencies <5 kHz), 40 Hz–30 kHz; 220–750 V rms up to 70 mA, 30 kHz–100 kHz.
  • DC current: 0 A to ±11 A.
  • AC current: 1 A to 11 A rms, 40 Hz to 10 kHz.

Integration and operation
The 5725A connects to compatible multifunction calibrators using a dedicated interface cable. Configure the 5700A Series calibrator to route all current outputs through the 5725A binding posts when a single-point current output is required. Front or rear binding posts on both units minimize cable reconnections during calibration workflows.

Technical specifications
  • Model: 5725A (Fluke).
  • Function: Voltage/current amplifier to extend AC voltage, AC current and DC current capability of compatible multifunction calibrators.
  • AC voltage frequency capability: up to 100 kHz at 750 V; up to 30 kHz at 1100 V (application- and load-dependent).
  • AC voltage amplitude ranges: 220–1100 V rms (detailed current limits depend on frequency).
  • AC voltage load-driving capability: up to 70 mA above 5 kHz; up to 50 mA below 5 kHz.
  • Capacitive load handling: up to 1000 pF.
  • DC current range: 0 A to ±11 A.
  • AC current range: 1 A to 11 A rms (40 Hz to 10 kHz).
  • Output connections: front or rear binding posts for voltage (via 5700A) and binding posts on 5725A for current outputs.
  • Compatibility: integrates with Fluke 5700A and 5720A Series; controlled via a dedicated interface cable.
