OverviewThe Geovent Smoking Cabin is a compact recirculating solution for controlled indoor smoking areas on ships, in factories and in offices. Designed for environments with vibration and movement, the cabin features a vibration-resistant steel and acrylic construction and is suitable for maritime and industrial applications. The internal recirculation principle cleans and returns the air to the room, eliminating the need for external ductwork. Customised configurations are available to meet site-specific requirements.
Key features- Vibration-resistant frame and rigid construction for shipboard and industrial use.
- Recirculating air system – no external ducting required.
- Triple-stage filtration removes smoke particles and odours (up to 99.9%).
- Space-saving design fits small rooms and low-ceiling areas.
- Push/pull ventilation minimises smoke leakage to the surrounding area.
- Infrared presence sensor for automatic fan and lighting activation.
- Available in customised versions to suit site constraints and preferences.
Filtration and operationThe cabin operates with a three-stage filtration train: an EU5 coarse filter captures larger particles; an activated carbon filter adsorbs tars and odours; and a HEPA filter removes up to 99.9% of remaining fine particles and contaminants. The push/pull airflow arrangement ensures effective extraction from the cabin interior while minimising leakage to adjacent spaces. Activation is automatic via an infrared presence sensor that switches the fan and lighting on when the cabin is occupied.
