SILICONE HOLLOW TAPERED PLUG REFERENCE: HSTS DESCRIPTION: Silicone Hollow tapered Plug 315ºC MATERIAL: High temperature Silicone 315ºC See the material data sheet DIMENSIONAL TOLERANCE The dimensional tolerance of the Silicone Hollow tapered Plug is according the RMA A3 APLICATIONS: Powder Coating, Wet Coating, E-Coating, Plating, Anodizing. USES: Used to mask threaded or flat holes when the hole diameter is bigger than 24mm. The Hollow inside makes this plug more flexible and lighter. Given the conical shape, the same reference can be used in different hole dimensions by adjusting it to the appropriate size required for each use. RECOMMENDATIONS for USE: How to choose the appropriate plug: The size of the hole to be hidden must between the largest and smallest diameter of the plug “Major Ø” and “Minor Ø”. If the plug sticks too far out, it may fall during application. However, if it is too sunken it may be difficult to remove it after completing the process. An ideally installed Conical plug must be sunken to mid-height with equal sections of the plug inside and outside. STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS: Storing this product away from direct sunlight and at a temperature between 20º C and 25º C is recommended in order to prevent any modifications to the properties such as flexibility, elasticity or decolouring, among others. The material this product is made of possesses no health risk nor is it considered hazardous requiring consideration when handling or storing it. EXPIRY This product does not expire, but it may lose plasticity and flexibility if stored inappropriately and/or for more than 5 years.
