This SCANIA diesel engine runs on a 4 strokes-cycle with a direct injection type. Model DC9 65A (10-94) has a turbocharged aspiration, 5-L cylinders and a rated output of 242 kW prp or 264 kW on standby. It works on a coolant system with a displacement of 8.87 L. The bore and stroke sizes are 127 x 140 mm. The engine uses lube oil ACEA E3-96; CCMC D5; API CE or CF. The total oil capacity is 57 L. The fuel consumption at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% PRP is 14,1 l/h, 28,86 l/h, 42,65 l/h and 56,58 l/h respectively. It is 61.93 l/h on standby. The water cooled diesel engine has a 24V electrical system, an electric governor, a dry air cleaner, hot components and radiator guards, and mobile components guards.
