This automotive blade fuse is designed with copper alloy terminals and a durable plastic housing to provide reliable overload and short-circuit protection. The tin-plated surface ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance, while the ±0.01 mm tolerance guarantees precision and consistent performance. Ideal for automotive circuit protection in cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other low-voltage applications.
At HLC, the development of automotive blade fuses starts with design and engineering, where our experienced team defines the rated current, melting curve, and structural requirements. Using advanced CAD and simulation tools, we optimize both the copper alloy terminals and the plastic housing for durability and safety in demanding automotive environments.
Once the design is validated, our in-house tooling center develops progressive stamping dies and precision injection molds. With over 20 years of tooling expertise and IATF 16949–certified processes, we ensure stable quality and efficiency from the very first production run.
In production, high-speed stamping machines form the copper alloy terminals to a tolerance of ±0.01 mm, guaranteeing accurate geometry and reliable electrical contact. The terminals then undergo tin plating in our surface treatment line, which improves conductivity and protects against oxidation and corrosion.
The plated terminals are integrated with high-temperature-resistant plastics such as PA66 or PBT through insert molding and in-mold riveting. With our semi-automatic and fully automated injection molding lines, the process achieves secure bonding between metal and plastic, ensuring consistent mechanical strength and electrical reliability.
Finally, the fuses are laser-marked with current ratings (e.g., 5A, 10A, 15A) for easy identification. Each stage of the process benefits from HLC's automated inspection systems and strict quality controls, ensuring that every fuse delivered to our customers meets international automotive standards.
