The HZ-501B Cable Fault Locator is designed for testing all types of faults in power cables with voltages up to 35kV. It is suitable for testing kV cables/wires with more than double-core (including coaxial), open circuit and low resistance faults, calibrating cable/wire length, and measuring the transmission speed of electric waves in cables.
When using the Flashover sample test method, the HZ-501B works in conjunction with the HZ-503 cable fault pin-pointer, HZ-504 cable route tracer, and HZ-508-35/2 or HZ-506 series High Voltage pulse generator to complete cable fault measurements via the "flashover method".
