Description
The IBH Link S7++ HS is an Ethernet–PROFIBUS–PPI/MPI gateway designed for DIN‑rail mounting to connect PCs and engineering stations to Siemens PLCs. It provides an alternative to Siemens CP modules and does not require Simatic Net for programming, drive configuration, PLC‑to‑PLC communication and FDT/HMI applications. Connection is possible via switch/hub or direct crossover to a PC using standard TCP/IP; remote access via router or VPN and internet connections are supported.

Software and integration
Drivers for SIMATIC MicroWin, STEP7, WinCC, ProTool and S7 for Windows are supplied. Integration with TIA Portal is supported and the unit works with the IBH OPC Server. An application programming interface (IBHNet) provides direct variable access from common languages (Visual Basic, C/C++, VB.NET, C#, Delphi, Java, Excel) and sample projects for Windows and Linux are included.
