There are two types of IMF safety valves:
• Conventional direction of flow (inlet under the valve and lateral exhaust)
• Reverse direction of flow (lateral inlet and exhaust under the valve)
This particular configuration allows to machine an outlet port on the opposite side of the inlet port and makes the inline mounting possible.
This mounting is used between the first and the second stage of a reducing system
Functioning parameters are as follow:
• Set pressure = Opening pressure
• Full opening pressure = Set pressure - 10%
To respect terms of European Directive 97/23/CE, the set pressure has to be defined as follow:
• Set pressure = Max working pressure of the system
IMF safety valves with CE marking, according European Directive 2014/68/UE, must be repaired, controlled et certified by IMF.
So, no spare parts are supplied by IMF for safety valves with CE marking.
There is no obligation regarding European Directive 2014/68/UEfor maintenance of safety valves without CE marking.
A safety valve without CE marking must no be mounted in a system with CE marking.
