Product Summary
SP-As1/As2 is a roller-type specimen rotating unit designed to attach to the IM-P2 polishing machine. It enables automatic polishing of non-mounted specimens, especially for lengthy, low-speed lapping. Custom-made holders for specific specimen shapes are available.

Main Specifications

• Built-in oscillation function: Arm-integrated oscillation reduces grinding resistance and edge undercutting, promotes even polishing across the specimen surface and allows polishing with light pressure to extend polishing cloth life.
• Automatic polishing of non-mounted specimens: Compatible with the IM-P2 for unattended, long-duration low-speed lapping. Custom holders can be supplied for specific specimen geometries.
• Loading plate options (optional):
  • Cast iron lapping plate φ200–250mm — for slurries ≤ 6 μm
  • Copper lapping plate φ200–250mm — for slurries 3–15 μm
  • Tin lapping plate φ200–250mm — for slurries ≥ 6 μm
  • Diamond correction ring — surface plate flatness correction
