Description
The Rana-3 is an automatic disc polishing machine with an individual-load system that accepts 1 to 6 specimens. The holder rotation speed is adjustable so the holder and disc can run at the same speed and direction to avoid loss of parallelism; both holder and disc support forward and reverse rotation.

Main Specifications

• Polish without losing parallelism! When holder and disc rotate at the same speed and in the same direction, grinding and polishing maintain parallelism across workpieces. Rana-3 allows holder speed adjustment so grinding/polishing can be performed at equal speeds and same direction. Disc and holder rotation can be reversed to facilitate manual finishing for left-handed operation.
  
  Grinding: SiC paper or polishing pad — Disc rotation speed: 200 rpm / Holder: 200 rpm
  Fine polishing: DIA + polishing cloth — Disc rotation speed: 65 to 150 rpm / Holder: 65 to 150 rpm
• Automatically increase/reduce pressure for the set number of seconds Rana-3 can automatically ramp pressure up or down over a configured number of seconds from start; settings allow gradual increase or decrease at defined times.
• Change polishing conditions (pressure, rotation speed) in two steps! Two movement/condition steps can be programmed into a single process to adapt to fragile or sharp-edged materials: start at lower pressure/speed and switch to higher pressure/speed during the cycle.
• Memory for up to 16 polishing conditions! Up to 16 programs can be stored. Different conditions can be assigned when preparing multiple specimens to improve throughput.
