Description

Overview
This compact fine-tune straightener is designed for correction of residual weft distortion. The Orthopac MFRC delivers extremely high straightening accuracy for relatively small distortions. The unit is equipped with skew and bow rollers as standard and is available with hydraulic or electromechanical straightening roller adjustment. Processing speeds range from 3 m/min to 250 m/min.

Key description
This model represents a compact fine-straightening system for the correction of residual distortions. The particular strength of the Orthopac MFRC is its ability to achieve very fine straightening adjustments while maintaining a small machine footprint. Available with hydraulic or electromechanical straightening roller actuation.

Product highlights
  • Very fine metering of the alignment effect
  • Compact dimensions
  • Low product content
  • Fine-tuning of residual distortion

Customer benefits
  • Maintains tight distortion-related tolerances
  • Enables documentation of residual distortions
  • Helps reduce customer complaints
  • Improves supplier–customer relationships through consistent web quality

Technical concept
The stepless positioning drive for the straightening rollers, combined with a dedicated hydraulic unit, provides short positioning times, high precision and minimal maintenance. Two independent hydraulic units (each with servomotor and reversing pump with variable speed and direction for individual cylinder selection for skew/bow) ensure efficient operation with low heat generation. Alternatively, a stepless electromechanical drive concept with rapidly responding servo control and frequency-controlled motors is available.

Area of application
  • At the delivery end of a stenter
  • Sanforizing equipment
  • Printing machines
  • Flame laminating machines
  • Other finishing and converting lines

Variants
  • Orthopac MMR Straightener: Manual straightening machine without optical scanning system and control

Sensors (typical options)
  • Scanner TK-12 — Optoelectronic scanning (reflex light)
  • Scanner CK-15 — Imaging / camera scanning
