Product OverviewThe UX3i is a high-precision wire EDM (UXi Series) designed for tight-tolerance machining. The HFG Generator enables higher frequency with lower current to improve surface finishes while increasing machining speeds; example: a 50 mm H13 punch machined to a 10 µin Ra target achieved 8 µin Ra using four-pass machining with ~5% reduced cycle time.

HFG Generator ExampleThe HFG Generator permits higher frequency at lower current to improve surface finish and increase cutting speed. In a representative test (H13, 50 mm punch), four-pass machining produced an 8 µin Ra (0.20 µm Ra) finish versus the 10 µin Ra (0.25 µm Ra) target while reducing machining time by approximately 5%.
