Overview
The U53j wire EDM is designed for high-precision machining with larger travels and a stationary work table that improves accuracy by eliminating dielectric weight shift found in moving-table designs. An integrated di-electrode reservoir in the base casting and circulated chilled air across internal covers help maintain thermal stability.

Control & Operator Features
The machine features the Hyper i control with a 24-inch class HD touchscreen and a simple 3-step workflow (Program / Setup / Run). Standard operator aids include a full-function handbox, digital electronic manuals, instructional videos, and E-Tech Doctor help functions to support setup and productivity.

The U53j is suitable for high-precision plastic injection molds, precision stamping tools and medical components. It can achieve surface finishes down to 0.08 µm Ra (34 µin Ra) using the Crystal Circuit and can operate with wire diameters down to 50 µm (0.002"). Assembly alignment tolerances yield axis straightness of 3 µm (0.0001") and squareness/parallelism of 4 µm (0.00015").
