For decades MANN+HUMMEL has developed and manufactured tailor-made air cleaner systems for a wide range of heavy-duty applications. Offerings range from single filter elements with housing to complete air cleaner systems with dirty- and clean-side ducts, safety element and cyclone pre-separator. Systems are designed for small to large engines and allow multiple functional integrations.

High performance details

• Air cleaner housing: Space-saving geometry uses installation space behind the cabin and accommodates an integrated resonator and service switch; coolant reservoir can be mounted on top.
• Intake grid: Retains coarse debris such as leaves or cigarette butts.
• Cyclone upper part: Cyclone flaps impart rotational motion; centrifugal forces drive dust particles to internal walls.
• Cyclone lower part: Air exits through openings between upper and lower parts while dust is expelled via the discharge valve.
• Air filter element: Oval element with acoustic chambers and polyurethane end plates; acoustic chambers reduce noise and improve flow.
