Roots vacuum pumps are dry-running vacuum pumps that can be used with a primary pump in all industrial vacuum and fine vacuum processes. Their main purpose is to allow the vacuum system to operate at a higher pumping speed in finer vacuum ranges and, thus, achieve a better final vacuum level.
These pumps can be supplied with two options:
- Bypass and valve system: allows the roots pump to be started up at atmospheric pressure at the same time as the primary pump.
- Magnetic drive: allows the pump to operate without the presence of seals that are susceptible to wear, thus reducing downtime and the cost of pump repair by a factor of 2 or even 3.
Applications:
- Vacuum packaging
- Metallurgy
- Industrial coatings
- Vacuum drying
- Vacuum impregnation
- Low speed wind tunnels
- Vacuum distillation
- Drying and degassing
