Overview
The AST family provides automatic testing systems for production inspection of stators, coils and windings of electric motors. The AST5/W platform is engineered for flexibility and customization to meet varied production requirements, supporting motor powers from a few watts up to 5 MW and 2–24 leads.

Application and scope
Suitable for inline automatic production or operator-run benches (single or double stations). Configurable for small motors up to large industrial machines, with variants for medium-voltage testing where required.

Tests and measurement capabilities

• High Voltage (HV) and Surge tests (basic tests included)
• Optional Partial Discharge (PD) testing for insulation diagnostics
• Special inter-turn and winding-to-ground insulation diagnostics to detect faults not revealed by standard HV/surge

Software, data and results management
Base software includes measurement acquisition and essential functions for saving, stamping and archiving test results. Features: database of test programs, user-defined test sequences (type, number, order and parameters), certificate printing in multiple languages, optional adhesive label printing, result storage/archiving, preventive maintenance schedules, calibration and autodiagnostic routines. Remote assistance and LAN connectivity available.
