Description

Durable optical hollow shaft encoder for industrial applications The MHL40 series is a robust optical hollow shaft incremental encoder designed for a long lifetime with a 40 mm metal housing and a mechanically stable ball bearing. Thanks to its high resolution of up to 5000 ppr, it is ideal for precise position measurements. The optional through-hole enables direct shaft mounting if a through shaft is used. The high cut-off frequency of up to 300 kHz allows reliable signal processing, even at higher speeds. Signals are transmitted via various output options: Push-pull (totem pole) or open collector: Flexible integration into control systems Voltage output: Direct connection to analogue circuits Line driver: Differential signal transmission for interference-free data transmission over longer cable runs Thanks to the radial 2 m connection cable with optional plug connection, the MHL40 can be easily integrated into existing systems. The maximum speed is up to 5000 rpm, whereby the usable number of pulses is limited by the cut-off frequency of 300 kHz.
