The MOE18 series is a high-quality optical incremental encoder that is designed for a long lifetime with its 18 mm metal housing and mechanically stable ball bearings. Thanks to its sinusoidal output signal, it is particularly suitable for applications that require fine-resolution signal processing through interpolation. This enables a higher effective resolution and uniform speed detection.
With a resolution of up to 360 ppr, the MOE18 enables precise position determination. The cut-off frequency of 10 kHz limits the maximum usable number of pulses depending on the speed. The signal is transmitted via a sine wave output, which is available in the variants Signal A, A+B or A+B+Z (reference pulse). The radial single-wire connection ensures space-saving integration.
