Description

Overview
The capaNCDT 61x4 is an active capacitive system for displacement, distance and position measurements. It consists of a sensor with integrated preamplifier, a robust sensor cable and a compact controller. The system is factory-calibrated for the required cable length and ready for immediate use without on-site calibration. Cable lengths up to 15 m are available, making the system suitable for long signal transmission paths in automated environments.

Variants / Controllers
  • capaNCDT 6114: active capacitive system with analog output 0...10 V (short-circuit protected). Options: ±5 V, 10...0 V. Designed for long signal transmission with cable up to 15 m.
  • capaNCDT 6124: active capacitive system with RS485 interface in addition to the analog output; intended for applications requiring robust digital communication over long cable lengths.

Sensor
The active flat sensor features a stainless-steel housing and a ceramic sensing element. The integrated cable reduces installation space and improves mechanical stability. Flexible yet sturdy cabling facilitates integration into moving applications such as robots and drag chains.

Applications
  • Robot-mounted measurements (moving tasks, cables in motion)
  • Measurements with drag chain guidance
  • Industrial automation
  • Machine building
  • Semiconductor production

Characteristics / Technical specifications
  • Measuring range: 2 mm
  • Linearity: max. 2 µm
  • Resolution: max. 0.3 µm
  • Outputs: analog (0...10 V; options ±5 V, 10...0 V) or RS485 (depending on variant)
  • Maximum sensor cable length: up to 15 m (factory-calibrated)
  • Robust sensor cable suitable for drag chains and robots
  • Integrated preamplifier for improved signal quality
