Product overviewThe Strain Indicator and Data Logger model P3 is a portable, battery-powered instrument that accepts four inputs from quarter-, half- and full-bridge strain gauge circuits, including strain-gauge-based transducers. Waterproof eyelets in the flip lid allow securing connection leads when the lid is closed.
Operation and configurationThe P3 uses a large LCD for setup and data readout and provides an intuitive, menu-driven interface accessed via the front keypad. Configurable options include active input channels, bridge configuration, measurement units, bridge completion, calibration method and recording parameters.
Data recording and transferMeasurements recorded at a user-selectable rate of up to 1 sample per channel per second are stored on a removable flash card. Data are transferred via USB to a host computer and can be saved, reduced and plotted using the supplied software.
