About Drum Brakes Nexen Group offers a range of industrial drum brakes designed for tension control, holding and continuous braking applications. These brakes are air-actuated with a diaphragm-sealed actuator that forces brake shoes onto a drum surface to generate braking torque. Brake units and drum hubs are ordered separately; hubs are available with keyed through bores or blank bores for customer finishing. Hinge-top models allow faster drum removal for roll changes.
