Overview
DJI’s first long-range, high-accuracy aerial LiDAR system. 950 m detection range, dual 100 MP cameras, 59-minute flight endurance. The DJI Matrice 400 + Zenmuse L3 is the benchmark enterprise solution for high-accuracy aerial topographic surveying, combining a 1535 nm LiDAR with dual 100 MP RGB mapping cameras and integrated DJI ecosystem tools for mission planning and data processing.

  • Long-range 1535 nm LiDAR with up to 950 m range at 10% reflectivity (100 kHz) and up to 2000 m at 80% reflectivity.
  • Laser spot reduced to one-fifth the size of the previous Zenmuse L2; up to 16 returns per pulse; pulse frequencies: 100 / 350 / 1000 / 2000 kHz.
  • Dual 100 MP (12288×8192) RGB mapping cameras with combined horizontal FOV 107° (two 4/3" CMOS sensors), mechanical shutter, average GSD ~3 cm at 300 m.
  • High positional accuracy with microsecond-level time synchronisation: system accuracy 3 cm vertical and 4 cm horizontal (RMSE at 120 m); POS rate 200 Hz; RTK corrections (D-RTK 3) supporting cm-level accuracy.
  • Excellent vegetation penetration (1535 nm, high per-pulse energy density), multiple scanning modes (Linear, Star-Shaped, Non-Repetitive) and wide FOV, ideal for forest and sub-canopy mapping.
  • Long endurance when paired with the DJI Matrice 400: up to 59 minutes; high payload capacity (6 kg) and IP55-classified aircraft for all-weather operations; integrated obstacle sensing (rotating LiDAR + mmWave radar) with wire detection.
  • Large-area productivity: a single mission at 300 m can cover up to 10 km² (daily up to 100 km² at 15 m/s), enabling efficient cadastral, infrastructure and forestry surveys.
