OverviewDirect steam injection (DSI) requires precise control of the injected steam to achieve an exact product temperature. In the flash tank the product is rapidly cooled under vacuum (approx. 0.2 bar(a)) and the flash tank pump transfers the product through the system. OMVE's HT223 is a fully hygienic laboratory DSI unit with an integrated flash tank and a high degree of automation. It can be used as an add-on to existing UHT systems and can be fully controlled via HT220 or HT320 controllers. Nominal capacity: 20–200 l/h.
