Principle of operationThe tank disinfection module AQUASAFE is ready for operation after filling the tank with water. Automatic activation of the UV lamp provides continuous disinfection during water consumption. When consumption stops, the lamp switches off automatically to preserve the battery supply and restarts automatically when flow resumes. The PLC control system allows setting a start delay to protect the lamp from frequent short cycles. A three-colour signalling panel at the test taps indicates water status: suitable for direct consumption, requires boiling, or wait for lamp warm-up.
Construction of the disinfection moduleModule components include a drain system for winter drainage. Access doors are secured with key locks to prevent unauthorized interference. The installation and housing are made of stainless steel with internal insulation. An external socket allows battery charging and an inspection hatch permits periodic replacement of lamp radiators without full lamp removal.
Module working timeThe module uses sealed gel batteries that are shock-resistant, non-gassing and operable in any orientation. These batteries do not lose parameters if fully discharged before recharge. With 100 Ah batteries, continuous UV operation typically exceeds 20 hours; operating time can be extended by using higher-capacity batteries.
Operation and useThe AQUASAFE module is maintenance-free apart from periodic lamp replacement; operation consists mainly of fully charging batteries before deployment. On opening a tap the module starts automatically: the PLC controller activates the UV lamp, monitors system operation, displays status signals and manages the energy-saving function.
