Product overviewThe romod 4DO-R is a digital output module designed for DIN-rail installation to control four lighting circuits or other digital actuators. Each output is implemented with a bistable relay and accessible via relay terminals. Integrated push buttons enable local manual override of outputs that are normally driven via Modbus. Each channel has two LEDs: the left LED indicates control mode (Modbus or manual override), the right LED indicates the output state (ON/OFF). Switching between Automatic and Manual modes is performed by holding the push button (hold time configurable for all channels). A short press produces a single short orange flash on the left LED indicating Automatic mode after release.
Operational features- Local manual override of digital outputs via integrated push buttons
- Bistable relay outputs providing normally open contacts at terminals
- Dual-LED per channel: mode indicator (Modbus/manual) and output state indicator
- Register logging which push buttons were pressed (reading the register resets the bits)
- Registers to read current state of push buttons and outputs
- Configurable start mode for outputs (automatic or manually overridden)
- Configurable minimum delay between switching two outputs to limit system disturbances
- Configurable safe states per output activated after a common timeout if no valid Modbus telegrams are received
NotesFor system configuration (addressing, maximum modules per Modbus Master interface, installation, bus connection, etc.), refer to the Configuration chapter.
