Description

Overview
The semi-automatic capsule filling machine is designed for controlled, small- to medium‑scale production of hard capsules filled with powder, granules or pellets. It is suited to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and R&D environments where flexibility, repeatability and cGMP-aligned procedures are required.

Applications
  • Pharmaceutical production: accurate dosing of powders and granules for antibiotics, vitamins and other solid-dose medications.
  • Nutraceuticals and herbal products: manufacturing dietary supplements, probiotics and botanical formulations in gelatin or vegetarian capsules.
  • Research labs and compounding pharmacies: small-batch runs, prototypes and stability or formulation studies.
  • Cosmetic and food industries: encapsulation of actives, flavors and essential oils in hard capsules.

Specification
  • Capacity: up to 28,000 capsules/hour
  • Applicable capsule sizes: #000 to #5
  • Handled materials: powder, granule, pellet

Specification (table)
Production capacity : 28,000 cap/h
Applicable product : Powder, granule, pellet
Applicable capsule : 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5#
Power : 380/220 V 50Hz (customizable)
Total power : 2.12 KW

How it works
Operators manually load empty capsules into the feeding station. The machine automates capsule separation, material dosing and capsule locking/sealing. Process parameters (feed speed, plate rotation) are adjusted to achieve target fill volume and minimize material loss.

Main Features
  • Pneumatic feeding and flat placement locking to reduce powder leakage and dispersion during locking.
  • Controlled feeding speed and mold rotation for filling accuracy within approximately ±3%.
  • Servo-controlled plate rotation with negative-pressure separation to ensure complete capsule separation and improved capsule utilization.

Main Parts
  • Capsule filling station
  • Pneumatic powder/particle feeding module
  • Capsule locking station
  • Discharge/output station
  • Capsule disk / mold plate

Notes
Suitable for both gelatin and vegetarian capsule shells. Molds are interchangeable to accommodate different capsule sizes. Filling accuracy, locking rate verification and cleaning/maintenance SOPs are provided to support cGMP compliance.

Caractéristiques / spécifications techniques
  • Production capacity: up to 28,000 capsules per hour
  • Supported capsule sizes: #000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
  • Materials handled: powder, granule, pellet (liquids require dedicated liquid capsule fillers)
  • Power supply: 380/220 V, 50Hz (customizable)
  • Total installed power: 2.12 kW
  • Filling accuracy: controlled to within approximately ±3%
  • Capsule utilization improvement: negative-pressure separation and servo-controlled plate rotation
  • Advantages: pneumatic feeding reduces jamming compared with screw feeders; pneumatic and servo systems improve separation, filling and locking consistency
