OverviewThe tablet deduster is designed to remove excess powder from tablets after compression, delivering cleaned and polished tablets ready for downstream processes such as coating or packaging. Tablets are fed by gravity or a vibratory feeder into the dedusting chamber where vibratory motion and perforated screening separate loose powder from the tablets. The process also provides a gentle polishing effect that improves tablet appearance. The unit can be integrated with tablet presses, counting systems and blister packing lines.
How it worksThe machine uses a vibratory drive to convey tablets along perforated paths or rotary screens. Powder falls through the perforations while tablets are transported onward; rubbing between tablets and against chamber surfaces produces a polishing action. Dust extraction ports can be connected to suction or dust-collection systems to control airborne powder.
