Overview
For fast and straightforward tool changes with an optional part protection feature provided by a mechanical overload protector. The quick-change tool system consists of two main parts: an Adapter Base mounted in the press ram and a Tool Adapter (QTA).
Adapter Base
The Adapter Base is mounted in the press ram and accepts Quick-Change Tool Adapters (QTA) with or without PartProtector. A bayonet lock on the QTA provides a secure connection to the Adapter Base with a counterclockwise quarter-turn, and unlocks with a clockwise quarter-turn—both without tools. The high-precision design ensures ±0.01 mm rotational and vertical alignment accuracy without tools.

The maximum force applied to parts and the permitted travel to accommodate varying part heights are set by a combination of flat and beveled washers installed in the tool holder. This is especially suitable for hard-stop tooling or toggle presses. The Tool Adapter is secured in the Adapter Base without tools. A cylindrical locating pin assists positioning and guiding the adapter.
