Insertion aid for welding end and inline splices
In end and inline splices, the required strand overlap length and the distance between the welding area and cable insulation are often specified. Both depend on manual insertion of the strands. Schunk Sonosystems has developed the Cable Fit-In, an external insertion aid designed to deliver reproducible welding results and precise adherence to specified dimensions. Two clips position the cables reliably in the welding area, and distance settings can be preset and adjusted according to the application and cable cross-section range.
