OverviewThis gas bottle lifter and rotator is a counterbalance model designed for use in narrow workspaces. The design removes the need for outlying legs in front of the machine so operators can place cylinders in otherwise difficult-to-access areas. The unit features a 13cc manual-hydraulic hand pump for lifting and a manual winch / crank rotation mechanism to rotate gas bottles at height. Model designation: DTP08-250kg-R500-CR01. Safe working load (SWL): 250kg.
Cylinder securing headThe unit has a rubber support pad suited to gas bottles with diameters between 180mm and 550mm and heights from 1200mm to 1800mm. The operator secures the cylinder against the pad using a ratchet and strap (CR01) mechanism before lifting and maneuvering. Rubber pads increase grip and the ratchet is released by pulling the lever and rotating the handle forwards.
Sideways rotationThe unit is fitted with a slew-ring gearbox assembly allowing sideways rotation. The operator uses a long stainless steel crank handle to turn the gearbox and rotate the cylinder. The high ratio of the slew-ring gearbox makes the required force to turn the crank very low; the drum/cylinder remains mechanically locked when not being rotated.
Manual hydraulic pumpThe machine uses a 13cc hydraulic hand pump to raise the load. Operators pump by moving the handle back and forth to move hydraulic fluid to the lift ram from the tank. To lower the cylinder the manual release handle is twisted anti-clockwise to return hydraulic fluid to the tank. High-quality hydraulic components are used and hydraulic systems are hand-assembled; hoses are cleaned prior to use to ensure cleanliness and reliability.
Chemical-resistant wheelsThe machine is fitted with five wheels in total: two fixed 160mm front wheels, two rear 100mm outrigger castors for stability and a single 160mm rear steering wheel. All wheels are aluminium-centred with hard polyurethane tyres which are oil-resistant and suitable for harsh industrial environments; precision bearings provide low rolling resistance on flat, level floors.
ATEX / UKEX optionA certified ATEX / UKEX version (DTP08-250kg-R500-CR01-Ex) is available for use in hazardous atmospheres (Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22). ATEX/UKEX units are manufactured to ensure electrical continuity and a path to ground; supplied with a manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity demonstrating compliance with relevant directives and standards.
Optional features- ATEX / UKEX option — certified for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 environments.
- Stainless-steel model — 304-grade stainless steel version available for clean rooms and GMP environments.
- Tall-lift model — alternative taller lifting ram available (up to 760mm lift stroke) for placing drums onto high containment bunds.
