What does a tubular push pull solenoid mean?
A tubular push‑pull solenoid comprises a coil, a ferromagnetic plunger and a tubular housing. When energized the coil generates a magnetic field that moves the plunger either inward (pull) or outward (push). A return spring repositions the plunger when power is removed. Compared with open‑frame solenoids, the tubular design provides higher force density, better protection and improved repeatability.

How it works
The coil creates a magnetic field when current flows. That field attracts the plunger so it moves along the tube axis toward or away from the coil depending on the internal configuration.
