Description

Automatic Karl Fischer coulometric titrator designed for reliable measurement of trace moisture in liquids, gases and solids. It is a high-efficiency, fully automatic analytical instrument suitable for transformer/insulation oil moisture analysis and a variety of laboratory and industrial moisture testing tasks.

Overview
The instrument uses Karl Fischer coulometric titration to determine moisture content accurately. It supports direct and indirect sampling (with appropriate samplers) for solids, liquids and gases, making it versatile for samples that are insoluble or may contaminate reagents or electrodes. It is widely used in power, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, railway, environmental protection and research institutions.

Features
  • Karl Fischer coulometric titration for trace moisture determination.
  • Supports liquid, solid and gaseous samples; compatible with samplers for indirect measurement of problematic samples.
  • Fully automatic operation with intuitive 64K color touchscreen interface and built-in data storage.
  • Integrated mini thermal printer for immediate result printout (paper width 56 mm).
  • Adjustable stirring speed via touch-panel slider; dynamic curve and text status display for process monitoring.
  • Compact footprint suitable for laboratory and on-site industrial use.

Applications
  • Transformer and insulation oil moisture control and routine testing.
  • Moisture analysis in petroleum, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Working principle
  • The fully automatic micro moisture analyzer is an automatic coulometric titrator based on Faraday's law, with double platinum as the indicator electrode. The principle of measuring moisture with this instrument is that when a water sample enters an electrolyte containing constant iodine, it will consume the iodine in the electrolyte. The change in iodine content is measured by the measuring electrode, and iodine is precipitated on the anode of the electrolytic electrode to supplement the iodine consumed by moisture. Due to the fact that the number of moles of iodine in the entire reaction process is equal to the number of moles of water, the true amount of water in the tested sample can be directly displayed on the screen after automatic processing by the instrument.

Precautions for instrument installation
  • (1) The instrument shall not be installed indoors with corrosive gases, which can corrode the circuit parts of the instrument and shorten its lifespan.
  • (2) The instrument shall not be installed in places where the room temperature is below 5 ℃ or above 40 ℃.
  • (3) The instrument shall not be installed in places directly exposed to sunlight.
  • (4) The instrument shall not be installed near electrical equipment that is frequently operated.
  • (5) The instrument shall not be installed in places with high humidity or near the tap water discharge pipe.
  • (6) The instrument shall not be installed in places where the power supply fluctuates beyond the prescribed range.
  • (7) After each automatic addition or discharge of electrolyte or oil, the pipeline should be cleaned with alcohol in a timely manner (placing alcohol at the electrolyte, anode, and cathode tubes for addition and discharge operations).
