Precautions
  • 1. The cup used for the experiment must be cleaned with anhydrous ethanol and dried before use.
  • 2. Before measuring the acid value, it is necessary to conduct a blank experiment. If multiple cups of oil samples are measured at once, a blank experiment can be conducted. If the interval is long or the ambient temperature changes, a blank experiment should be conducted before each oil sample measurement. Please confirm that the stirring magnet is placed in the cup and verify if it is in the first cup position.
  • 3. Special reminder: When conducting blank experiments, the droplet rate of the neutralizing solution must not be too fast, otherwise it will cause inaccurate droplet detection and affect the experimental results.
  • 4. If the protective cover is lifted during blank testing, the protective cover should also be lifted during oil sample testing to maintain consistent ambient light before and after the test.
  • 5. When placing the experimental oil cup into the cup tray, it is necessary to ensure that the bottom of the cup is fully placed in the cup holder of the tray to avoid the cup being placed incorrectly and affecting the light detection.
  • 6. The cup must be removed from the cup tray after each experiment to avoid affecting the positioning during further experiments.
  • 7. At the end of the experiment, the neutralizing solution and extraction solution bottles should be sealed and stored in a dark place to prevent deterioration and failure.
