Liquid nitrogen cryostat - ElectricalThe electrical liquid nitrogen cryostat is a vacuum cryostat designed for rapid cooling and stable temperature control of samples for electrical and electromagnetic measurements. It uses liquid nitrogen as the cooling medium, supports fast cooldown to cryogenic temperatures and can be configured with multiple electrical connector options and sample holder sizes.
Working principleFill the internal liquid nitrogen chamber; by adjusting the gap between the temperature control plug and the cold finger to control heat leakage and by adjusting heating output via the DXTC-290 temperature controller, the cryostat temperature can be swept rapidly between approx. 80 K–600 K and stabilized to a set value. With the pressure-reduction option, the cryostat temperature can be reduced to and stabilized at 65 K.
Features- Temperature range: standard down to 65 K (typical ranges: 65–325 K or 65–500 K; optional up to 700 K).
- Fast cooling and high efficiency (cool-down times detailed in technical specifications).
- Sample placed in a vacuum chamber providing an ideal, stable experimental environment.
- Vacuum interlayer includes low-temperature adsorbent to extend vacuum holding time and liquid nitrogen usage time.
- PT100 platinum resistance thermometer for temperature sensing (good stability and repeatability).
- Multiple configuration options to meet different testing needs; convenient to add liquid nitrogen during use.
- Electrical sample holder with pluggable sample card and easy-to-use binding posts.
- Standard supply with 8 measurement leads; expandable up to 32 leads.

- Customizable according to customer requirements.
Sample holder options- DXT9015: 15 x 25 mm, material OFHC (standard electrical sample holder with 4 binding posts up/down).
- DXT9020: 20 x 30 mm, material OFHC.
- DXT9030: 30 x 40 mm, material OFHC.
Note: All standard electrical cryostats ship with one sample holder; additional or custom holders can be provided.
Cryostat electrical connector options- DXT90-8P ordinary glass sintering — 8-pin quick-plug connector.
- DXT90-12P ordinary glass sintering — 12-pin quick-plug connector.
- DXT90-SMA — RF option: 0–18 GHz (with soft cable) or 0–12.4 GHz (with semi-rigid/semi-flexible cable).
