Description

Liquid Nitrogen Cryostat - Optics is an optical cryostat designed for spectroscopy and photoelectric experiments, providing a vacuum sample environment and rapid cooling using liquid nitrogen.
Working principle
  • The low-pressure refrigerant enters the cryostat via the liquid inlet and is introduced into the evaporator at the bottom through an internal capillary tube. A heater and temperature sensor are installed on the evaporator. Temperature-controlled vapor is sprayed into the sample chamber to cool the sample; exhaust vapor is released to the atmosphere or a gas recovery device. The sample can be loaded from the top using a sample rod. The bottom uses a compact vacuum cover design, making it suitable for measurements in magnetic fields.

  • Remark: All standard optical cryostats ship with one sample holder; additional/custom holders can be provided on request. Pressing plate included to fix optical samples; its aperture matches the light hole.

  • DXT91-8P ordinary glass sintering — 8-pin quick-plug ordinary electrical connector.
  • DXT91-12P ordinary glass sintering — 12-pin quick-plug ordinary electrical connector.
  • DXT91-SMA — options: 0–18 GHz with soft cable; 0–12.4 GHz equipped with semi-rigid and semi-flexible cables.
  • DXT91-BNC — 0–4 GHz with ordinary coaxial cable.
  • DXT91-TRX — triax connector (quick-plug triaxial connector available).
  • DXT91-S — stainless steel junction box (shell and wiring board integrally grounded).
  • DXT91-PTEF — PTFE wiring cover option (PTFE insulating board in shell; housing and connector electrical properties independent).
  • Remarks: Cryostats leave factory with two connectors (one for temperature sensor/heater, one for other measurements); additional test lines may require mounting holes or breakout boxes. For operation to 65K, corresponding pressure reduction accessories are required.

  • Heater: available 30 W or 60 W variants (model-dependent).
  • Liquid nitrogen maintenance time: example values — 6 h @ 80 K; 5 h @ 100 K; 3 h @ 200 K.
  • Liquid nitrogen chamber volume: standard 500 mL (customizable).
