Description

Product Overview
Polypropylene (PP) mooring rope available in 8-strand and 12-strand constructions with monofilament and multifilament options. Lightweight and floating, it resists rot, mildew and many chemicals, making it suitable for general marine use including vessel mooring, fishing and aquaculture. Complies with ISO 1346-2012.

Typical Applications
  • Vessel Mooring: Suitable for small to medium-sized vessels, barges and workboats.
  • Towing Operations: General-purpose tow line for light to moderate loads.
  • Fishery: For nets, pot lines and general deck operations in commercial fishing.
  • Aquaculture: Securing cages, nets and other marine farming equipment.

Key Characteristics
  • Lightweight and Floatable: Floats on water for easier handling and retrieval.
  • Non-Absorbent & Rot-Proof: Does not absorb water, preventing rot and mildew.
  • Chemical Resistance: Good resistance to many acids and alkalis.
  • Good Abrasion Resistance: Suitable for general-purpose maritime use with reliable service life.
  • Good Electrical Insulation: Exhibits dielectric properties for use near electrical equipment.
