Multi-turn square wire wave springs are formed by flat wire and have wave peaks that hold their configuration. Wave springs operate as load-bearing devices, absorb play and compensate for dimensional variations within assemblies. The square wire wave spring bears enormous loads in a small space and has higher deformation energy per unit volume compared with other types of springs, giving it good buffering and shock-absorbing ability.

Description
Square wire wave springs (multi-wave compression springs) offer deflections beyond round wire springs and occupy less axial space. They provide variable stiffness characteristics by changing geometric ratios or by combining/stacking discs of different thicknesses. Properly designed and manufactured square wire wave springs have long service life and concentric load distribution when annular.
