How to use a 2 turn external spiral retaining ring?Identify the component to be retained and ensure the ring size matches the component's external geometry. Hold the component and the retaining ring together, then twist the retaining ring two turns in the same direction as the thread or orientation required by the assembly until it seats. Once properly installed the ring should remain in place and retain the component.
