Description
Our external stainless steel snap ring has no interference in assembly and a burr-free inner ear diameter; it allows manual and automatic quick installation and removal. Compared with die-stamped circlips that have ears which may interfere with assembly and produce burrs, this product is easier to install and remove.

What is an external stainless steel snap ring?
An external stainless steel snap ring is a type of retaining ring installed on a groove or shaft to restrict axial movement of components. The ring's outer or inner diameter is slightly larger or smaller than the mounting hole or shaft diameter. Circlip pliers are used to expand or contract the circlip during installation so it can be placed into a pre-machined shaft groove.

Materials
Common production materials: stainless steel (SUS304, SUS316) as core; 65Mn spring steel is commonly used in applications with lower rust-resistance requirements or high oil content. Carbon spring steel is widely used for retaining rings when higher strength, hardness and elasticity are required.
