Overview
ZIEHL-ABEGG supplies a modular range of impellers for ventilation and air-handling applications. The Series C impellers are offered in sheet-steel or ATEX variants and can be combined with standard or high-efficiency motors. Available diameters cover 225–1,120 mm to suit diverse installation positions and customer devices.

Product specification
Free-running impeller with 7 backward-curved blades in frame sizes 225 to 1,120 mm. Impeller manufactured from sheet steel with powder-coating surface protection. Versions with hub (taperlock or fixed hub) and inlet nozzle with an optional flow-measurement device. Volume flow rates up to approx. 110,000 m³/h (free blowing). Maximum static pressure increase up to 2,500 Pa. GR modules for compact installation in customer applications/devices for horizontal and vertical air feed. ER built-in fans for vibration-damped use in central air-conditioning units with horizontal air feed.

Features & special options
Impeller with rotating, non-fluted diffuser for high efficiency and favourable acoustic characteristics. Also available in ATEX (explosion-proof) design. Aluminium impeller option when used with external-rotor motors.

Internal-rotor motors:

• PMblue (EC): permanent-magnet motor with integrated controller
• AMblue (AC): asynchronous motor with integrated controller
• AC technology

External-rotor motors:

• ECblue (EC): EC technology with integrated controller matched to the fan
• AC technology

Explosion-proof version (extract)
Available in 13 sizes (225–1,120 mm). Versions in ZAmotbasic. Seven backward-curved blades. Antistatic powder coating (black RAL 9005). Available only as ER version and in mounting position H. Hub wheel also available separately. Temperature class T4. Equipment group IIB. EPL: Gb/Gc. Suitable for Zones 1/2. Motor protection at start: Ex db / Ex db eb. Fan protection at start: Ex h (constructional safety “c”). Ambient temperature ranges: −20 to +40/+60 °C. Wheel temperature up to +80 °C. Certificates: ATEX, IECEx.
