MF Membrane level indicators
As occasion demands, the level indicators type MF can be used as full, empty or demand indicator for bulk goods.
This indicators are detecting the filling level in silos, containers, discharge pipes and vessels. They can be used as jam indicator at drains of screw conveyors, feeders and also at the input and output facilities of elevators They can be used for dusty, powdery and granulated as well as grained bulk goods. Absolute reliability and safe function, even under extreme conditions, are guaranteed.
Function principle
- Utilisation of the bulk goods gravity.
- As the bulk goods touches the membrane, a pressure will be caused.
- A signal switch registers this pressure and interprets it.

These are used for the maximum and minimum level in silos
and mill hopper which contain powder or grain material
which can be cereals, plastic material, sand etc.
In the “RL-A” series the paddle turns at low speed which
when in contact with material stops turning causing a contact
to switch.
In the “SM 85” series the functioning is caused by material
pressing on a rubber membrane which causes a micro switch
positioned internally to operate.

The BRMX rotary paddle bin level indicator provides reliable point level detection and measurement of dry bulk solids in bins, tanks, silos, hoppers and conveyors for materials including grain, feed, plastic pellets, cement and aggregates. Mounted on the top or side of a bin, the BinMaster BMRX alerts operators when bins are full without the rigors and risks associated with climbing and continuously checking bins levels. When material is not in contact with the paddle, the paddle rotates freely. When the paddle comes into contact with dry bulk material, the paddle stops rotating and sends a signal – normally through the use of a horn or light – to alert that the bin is full.
The BinMaster BMRX features “de-energized” operation of the motor which shuts the motor down when materials is present, versus competitive rotaries which put the motor in a "stalled" condition. Power is not consumed until the bin is emptied and the drive shaft again begins to rotate – which saves on energy costs and prolongs motor life. It offers a fail-safe alert providing notification when power to the unit is lost. The BMRX rotary design includes a screw-top enclosure for easy access to motorized parts. It is CE approved and is appropriate for use in hazardous conditions when explosion proof protection is needed – featuring Class I, Groups C and D, Class II E, F, and G listings.
BinMaster also offers the Maxima+, an advanced rotary level indicator that offers genuine fail-safe protection via an LED indicator that alerts to the failure of power, the motor or electronics. For smaller bins and hoppers, the Mini-Rotary is an economical, compact rotary level control.

SITRANS LPS200 is a rotary paddle switch for point level detection
in bulk solids. The paddle switch technology detects full, empty or demand
conditions on materials such as grain, feed, cement, plastic
granulate and wood chips. The paddle switch can handle bulk
densities as low as 15 g/l (2.19 lb/ft3) with the optional hinged
vane or 100 g/l (6.25 lb/ft3) with the standard measuring vane.
A low revolution geared motor with slip clutch drives a rotating
measuring vane which senses the presence of material at the
mounted level of the LPS200. As material comes into contact
with the rotating paddle, rotation stops, which changes the microswitch
state. When the paddle is no longer covered by material,
rotation resumes and the relay reverts to its normal condition.

Function principle
- Change of an „oscillating system“ with covered vibrating rod or without bulk goods.
- When bulk material comes in contact to the vibrating rod, the vibration will be attenuated.
- This will be sensed and evaluated by the electronics.

The V-Tork is a point level switch that is designed to detect low or high level of liquids, thick and turbulent fluids, as well as corrosive mediums and pastes (depending on viscosity). Due to its simple and rugged controlled system, the V-Tork is virtually unaffected by any chemical or physical properties of the mediums and can be installed at any angle of the pipe or tank. It is ideal for multiple-purpose processing where the probes must be compatible with a variety of process materials and process conditions. The V-Tork does not require recalibration between batches and can also be cleaned in place.
The V-Tork can operate in temperatures up to 176ºF (80ºC) and has a maximum working pressure of 725 PSI (50Bar).
Standard probes are available with 3/4” up to 1” BSP or NPT process connection and insertion length L= 3 1/8” (L= 80mm).

VEGASWING:
Versatile use in liquids
The piezo drive is the heart of VEGASWING, actuating the tuning fork on its resonance frequency. The frequency of the fork falls when being immersed. The frequency change is processed by the integrated oscillator and converted into a switching command. The piezo drive is screwed to ensure reliability and ruggedness. With the tuning fork of only 40 mm length, VEGASWING 60 works reliably in all liquids and mounting locations. Pressure, temperature, foam and bubbles and even viscosity do not affect the switching accuracy. Even pipelines with a nominal width of DN 25 are no problem.
VEGASWING 60 is the universal level switch for all applications.

The tuning fork is piezoelectrically energized and vibrates at its mechanical resonance frequency. (of approx. 1200 Hz.) The piezos are fixed mechanically and therefore are not subject to temperature shock limitations. The frequency changes when the tuning fork is covered by the medium. This change is detected by the integrated oscillator and converted into a switching command.

BinMaster vibrating rods feature a unique single-rod probe design with a sword-shaped blade that prevents bridging of material, making them superior to typical “tuning fork” designs by allowing material to easily flow by, preventing build up on the blade. Features include a self-cleaning sensor, switch selectable high/low fail-safe, and an auto sensing power supply which can accommodate 20 – 250 volts AC/DC. They feature three sensitivity adjustments – high for light and fluffy materials, medium, and low for heavier materials or materials that may tend to cling to the vibrating rod. The VR-21 is BinMaster’s standard piezoelectric driven vibration type point level switch, which has an insertion length of 7.37 inches. It is suitable for both top and side mount applications and is ideal for a wide variety of dry and bulk powder materials including extremely light, fluffy materials. The VR-41 is designed for use with a variety of heavy, medium and light materials ... including extremely light, fluffy materials. Intended for top mount locations, it is available in lengths from 13 inches up to 13 feet. The VR-51 extended vibrating rod uses a steel-rope reinforced cable and allows for insertion lengths from 19 inches up to 19 feet and is intended for top mount applications.

The Pulsarpoint 200 series range of point level measurement systems offers the very latest state of the art technology applied to the well respected vibrating blade principle of operation. All units in the range are manufactured to the highest standard from 316 solid stainless steel for maximum strength durability and corrosion resistance. Series 200 provides highly reliable, fixed point level indication or control with a repeatability of 1mm or better. Versions are available to measure solids and slurries with relay output. The Pulsarpoint 200 series uniquely combines solid rugged construction with high sensitivity to produce maximum reliability. The unique blade design allows 'tip sensitive' control and the unit does not react to troublesome material build up on vessel walls. The vibrating rod of VEGAVIB is actuated via piezoceramic elements. If the vibrating rod is immersed, the amplitude will be damped. The amplitude change is processed by the integrated oscillator and converted into a switching command. Due to the rod design, it is nearly impossible for material, e.g. granules, to get wedged in. Typical applications are overfill or dry run protection systems, e.g. in flour, milk powder, sand, cement, plastic granules, styrofoam and down feathers. Even products with a specific gravity up to 0.015 g/cm³ (15 g/l) can be measured. An adjustment with medium is not necessary as the mounting location and the granulation size do not affect the measurement.
